Ads & College Students

Almost finished…it’s a good feeling. This blog posting I will talk about ads and how they affect college students. One ad that I think is directed towards the college student would be the free credit score commercial. I feel that it is directed towards use because of the music they choose to play. In a way these commercials target the older generation to but the music attracts college and high school students as well. The music is upbeat and crazy. There are many times that I have seen the commercial and been tempted to go to the web site, even though I know I don’t have any credit to worry about. It just goes to show that music can influence anyone. No matter how old you are, music can bring people together. I hope everyone has a great summer. Be safe!
            Dream Girl
Well, I married my dream girl
I married my dream girl
But she didn't tell me her credit was bad
So now instead of living in a pleasant suburb
We're living in the basement at her mom and dad's
No we can't get a loan
For a respectable home
Just because my girl defaulted on some old credit card
If we'd gone to free credit report dot com
I'd be a happy bachelor with a dog and a yard.

Today's New Source

So many blogs to catch up on, so very little time. News…I don’t watch it. As a child, my mother made me stay outside a lot and be a kid. When the TV was on at my house it was usually on some sort of news. I never really watched it though. I remember watch the news one time and there was a story about a young girl getting killed in a car wreck. I asked my mother why she was in the car wreck and of course my mother didn’t have an explanation so I started to cry. Most of the news today only focuses on the bad in the world, when there is so much good. Most of my news comes from Yahoo when I am passing through on my way to something else. Or if it is something huge my mom will usually call and tell me. Have a great day!

Music Maker

Hello again! This blog posting is supposed to be all about music. What I like and dislike, but looking back at my previous blogs, it seems as if I have said something about music in every one of them. This is simply explained: I love music. I literally eat, breathe, and sleep music. From the moment I wake up to the time I go to bed. When I wake up in the morning I turn it on Pandora radio while I take a shower and get ready. Then at night, my Pandora comes back on to help me fall asleep. I listen to all types of music except one…classical. I never really understood the point of it. I know being in the band we play some classical but hearing it and playing it are different somehow. Some of today’s artist that I like include: Adele. Let me stop for a second and talk about this girl. She is amazing to me, I love her voice. I have never been so obsessed with someone’s voice as much as I am with hers. She honestly is my idol. Some other artists I like are: Gotye, Ingrid Michelson, Regina Spektor, Lily Allen, and Cold Play. It wouldn’t be my blog if I didn’t talk about the one band that I have loved ever since I was a child. The Beatles have helped me through my darkest days and went along on the ride when I was having wonderful days. Their music has taught me a lesson about life. They have showed me how to love and be grateful. Anyway I have many other blogs to post so I am going to wrap this one up. Once again, thanks for reading. May you have a blessed day!

Reader's Choice

Okay let’s try this again. The first time I posted this blog it didn’t show up and I just learned this. Now I am retyping it and I hope it shows up. When I think of all the magazines out there today I realize there are a lot of them. I do not buy magazines anymore as much as I use to. When I was a kid I use to get a magazine every time I went to a store. The one that always caught my eye was of course Seventeen magazines. I remember being afraid they would not let me buy it because I was under the age of seventeen. It was the only magazine I found my girlish side with. I learned how to fix my hair a certain way and how to talk to boys. It was always a fun magazine that I really liked. Thank you all for reading! Have a great day!

The Film that Shaped My World

This is a long overdue post but I am finally getting around to it. This post is all about the film that shaped my world into what it is today. When I started to think about all the movies that I watched over my childhood years, not many came to mind. I was a child of the 90’s and that meant I was outside all the time. I don’t really remember watching much TV until I was about 14. I remember watching one certain movie a lot. It’s a newer movie but this movie and my mother are what really got me interested in music and the different types of it. The movie I am referring to is School of Rock with Jack Black in it. As a child my mother was always listening to a variety of music because she was so young. There was always a different type of music blaring in our house. It could have been country, rock, jazz or r&b. We all have that one movie that we can quote every line from and I think mine would have to be Sweet Home Alabama. When this movie came out me and my mom went to see it in theatre and then we bought it on VHS. I watched the VHS tape so much that it wore it completely out. Then she went out and bought the DVD and I wore that one out to. Even to this day I don’t watch much TV, but let’s face it what college student has the time. Thanks for reading, have a wonderful day!
